Base setup

Empty business software is not a system but a set of empty drop-downs. Somebody has to invent a stage ladder, a sector taxonomy, a product tree, a warehouse shape and a list of job titles before the first record — and every company invents them again, differently. PORTWARE Base Setup files them once. On a new database and on every company created afterwards:

• the Jira-style task ladder — TO-DO, IN-PROGRESS, DONE, CANCEL, FAIL — on every board, with the project stages beside it;
• project and CRM tags, CRM lost reasons;
• a partner taxonomy: sector, machinery and automation, relationship type, and the "Takipten Çıkar" discipline that keeps a prospect pool honest;
• a product category tree, variant attributes, dealer pricelists;
• Türkiye's 45-hour, 6-day working week;
• a two-step receipt, pick-pack-ship warehouse with storage zones;

It is configuration only: nothing that looks like business — no customer, order or invoice — is added. Everything is keyed by name: a second install changes nothing, and a value somebody edited is never overwritten. A company that has already traded takes it deliberately, from the button on its form.

The shared knowledge layer

Some knowledge reaches every database, on install and with every update: Cowork's product knowledge (how PORTWARE behaves — learnt on one installation, true on all) and the PORTWARE project and task templates. Each item is delivered once; one an administrator removed does not come back.

• The formation project — six stages and the real task list, from the pre-formation decisions to MERSİS and the trade registry, the chamber, taxes and the fiscal seal, e-invoice and e-archive, social security, banking and accounting setup, trademarks and incentives.
• Official filings — authority, application date and number, document number, status, missing document and fee; it reads like a registry ledger.
