Morning Briefing and System Audit

Everything described so far runs when you ask. The briefing is the opposite: every morning, before anyone asks, the assistant reviews your CRM, activities, tasks, quotations, meetings and deliveries, finds what has been forgotten, and writes down what should be done about it.

This is where the value is Work in an ERP is rarely lost because somebody did it wrong; it is lost because somebody forgot: a quotation nobody answered, an opportunity with no next step, an activity past its date. None of these raise an error. None of them turn red on any screen. The briefing is what makes that silent loss visible.

How It Works

Every morning at 08:00 (Istanbul): A scheduled job runs one pass a day and prepares each user's own briefing.
A star badge on the systray: When the briefing is ready the COWORK icon in the top bar carries a badge; opening the panel opens the briefing.
No findings means no briefing: An empty notification is never sent. If you see the badge, there is genuinely something to look at.
Scoped to the person: Each user sees only the records they are responsible for.

Not a Number — What To Do About It

What if the AI makes a wrong action?

All write operations (create, update, delete) are shown to the user for approval before being executed. No write action runs without confirmation. Additionally, Odoo's standard chatter logging records all changes; operations can be reviewed and reversed.

How do I start for free?

Obtain a Groq API key (free tier available at console.groq.com) or a Google Gemini API key (free at aistudio.google.com). With Auto mode enabled, simple queries will automatically use the cheapest available provider. The multi-model pipeline provides further savings on non-English content.

How do I add a custom action (tool)?

Go to SODOO AI > Configuration > Custom Tools and create a new tool. Define the action code, description, parameters (JSON), and Python code. Code runs in a safe sandbox (safe_eval) with access to env, record, params, and user_id variables. No code deployment needed.

Troubleshooting

AI is not responding / "API error" message

Checklist:

Verify API key is correctly entered in Settings > AI COWORK
Confirm the API key is still valid in your provider console
Check provider API status page for outages
Ensure your Odoo server has outbound internet access

"I cannot perform this action" response from AI

AI COWORK operates within the current Odoo user's permissions. Verify that the logged-in user's role has sufficient Odoo access rights for the requested operation. All ERP actions are subject to standard Odoo security rules.

Streaming is not working — responses arrive all at once

Streaming is only supported for 5 providers (Claude, GPT, DeepSeek, Mistral, Groq). Google Gemini does not support streaming. Even with streaming enabled, ERP tool calls execute synchronously — only pure text responses stream in real time.

Memory system not working — AI doesn't remember previous sessions

Confirm "Memory System" is enabled in Settings > AI COWORK > Advanced Settings. Memory accumulates over time; very short sessions may not generate enough data. Memory is user-specific — switching users resets the context.

Checking Odoo Logs For technical errors, check Odoo server logs: /var/log/odoo/odoo.log or journalctl -u odoo -f. AI COWORK errors are logged with the sodoo.ai prefix for easy filtering.
